Default Sling

Has anyone found that putting your symptomatic arm in a sling to elevate the shoulder a bit has helped with pain and nerve pain? I'm debating whether or not to bring this up with my doctor...but I feel like it would help since sometimes my arm feels like it's being pulled out of its socket :/

Thoughts?

Thanks!!

I prop my arm up on pillows, books, the car window sill, etc. It has helped immensely with circulation and pain. I have not tried a sling. I did use a sling once on the other arm for a shoulder problem a couple years ago and found that it made my arm stiff.

Yes, I seem to prop it up naturally to get some relief. Sometimes just a few minutes is beneficial and eases aches etc.
NO sling however because the pressure near the collarbone causes other probs.
Do what works for you.
