This is weird - my hand (the one affected by TOS) often peels - the fingers, the palm, etc. peel. Has anyone else had something like this related to TOS or is it a fluke? I did read Toradol can cause peeling and I have been taking Toradol for quite a while (seems to be the drug of choice for my doc although the more I read the less I want to take it as frequent as she suggests!)

Any ideas? Maybe it is just my allergies...sorry kinda groggy today from the Lyirca

all trial and error how long has this been going on and did it start with the lyrica??? I love that drug despite the pouch in my belly......

I see an allergist tomorrow so I will ask him what he thinks, if not then I will investigate the Toradol as a possible cause.

Day #2 of Lyrica is not too bad - not nearly as groggy as yesterday...

I had peeling hands when I had eczema, and my left hand was way worse than my right hand (the left arm is the one that probably has TOS).

I got the eczema under control by using hydrocortisone cream at bedtime (i would wear cotton gloves so that the cream didn't get everywhere) and then during the day I applied the neutrogena Norweigan hand cream for moisturizing.

I don't know if eczema is a possibility in your case, but if it is it's usually pretty easy to get under control (mine got better within a few days, and was pretty much gone after 2 weeks).

The lyrica, De started on the 50 mg dose at first. It took about a week to get up the dose. THen she went to 75 mg, now up to two 75 mg. She is sleeping really well and feeling so much less nerve pain. But she really has to watch the food cravings.

Next, torodol, I can only fill 20 toradol in three months. I hsve to nurse them out. They halp greatest for the migrain come on's. In between Instead of generic percocette; Endocette, I have fille Oxycodone 5/325. This has helped me greatly.

Now the peeling, a few thoughts, chronic pain patients with nerve pain had tiny nerve endings in the finger tips. Relating to things like shingles can affect nerve endings, why not hyper nerve acitivity. The other thing, from some CRPS De's hands are dry and get that continual dry, hateful to touch things feelings. Like Terry towels, paper, constantly using a curel or hand cream, ALL the Time!

She also tends to touch things, freezer items, chemicals, and they irratate instantly. Washing a few things by hands can set off peeling, chemical in clean up wipes can make tiny dots that peel. Hot cup of tea, cold contact with soda or ice tea cans.

I have been having peeling for about year...across the palm, sides of my hand, fingers...a bit on my left hand but almost all on my right hand...has noticably gotten worse as the TOS has gotten worse. Frustrating...the skin actually peels off in 'chunks'. Looks kinda gross sometimes. I started putting aloe vera on it today (all I had in my bag at work)...

As for the Toradol - my doctor would write me a script every time I went it...I have been given scripts for up to 100 to be dispensed at once...this has been going on for a year now...I know it is not for long term care - thats why I really try not to use it if I can...I have been given Toradol as the docs suspect I have a codiene allergy. I have the appt tomorrow and another appt at an allergy clinic in a few months - I am hoping someone can rule out the codiene allergy - at least then my doc will have more options.

I find holding hot or cold glasses hard, chemicals bother me a lot, cleaners, etc....there has to be something that causes my hands to do this...

I have the best cleaning agent that will clean everything in house...bathroom and Kitchen......baking soda and hydrogen peroxide and mix to a paste....will clean tiles in br.....like we do that lol...... and in sinks and bathtubs without a lot of scubbing is easy on the hands and no chemicals to inhale....love it use it a lot you can also put peppermint oil in it so it smells nice....or lavender both clean well.....
