We'll be thinking of you on Thursday.
Hope it all goes well and relief continues for you.

I found some deep trigger points which appear to be in the right side scalenes. Rubbing these out and heat helps a bit but the pain in my temples is steadily increasing. I'm really hoping this next surgery can get rid of this occipital neuralgia for good.

I'm going to take some Valium and see if it helps (I usually only take it at night before bed).
Good luck Marc,I'm sorry you are still in so much pain. I hope you feel better after the second surgery. You might ask the dr if there is another anti inflammatory you can take pre-surgery. I know I was able to take mobic before injections.
Take Care,

No NSAIDs until after surgery (due to the anticoagulant properties). I will get IV Toradol after surgery so I'll be in better shape in a few days. Doctor says Tylenol or Norco/Vicodin only for pain pre-surgery.

Right upper trapezius trigger points are coming back now too. Going to take a hot shower and perhaps a nap.

Thanks to everyone for your encouragement. I had to increase my intake of Norco to stop my downhill spiral after stopping Celebrex.

Good news is that my surgery tomorrow has been moved from 3pm to 10am and I should be Dr. Angle's first surgery of the day.

I'm discharged and home now. I'm in much less pain than the 1st surgery. I had a mild lung collapse but they say it's nothing serious. It will take a few days to resolve. Pleural effusion and pneumothorax. I have to use the spirometer every hour until it resolves. I have to monitor my vitals as fever is bad.

I will post more after I can rest and get more energy.
