Yes, past (previously active) TOS members , it hadn't been mentioned for years, but the description was exactly how they described the feeling.

DiMarie mentioned it every so often and others would agree they had similar "buzzing" at times.

Many are still members , but not posting regularly.

I get that buzzing feeling once in awhile. I thought I was just imagining things, but maybe not.

Thats good to know. Maybe the buzzing is from the tos and that I do not have a brain stem lesion starting. I see my neurologist Thursday and will ask her.

My theory is that TOS can cause a loss of spinal cord mobility and accelerates disc degeneration. My rib and spinal mobility have increased greatly since my rib resections. It also appears that my lumbar spinal symptoms have disappeared as well for now (low back pain, burning sensation radiating into the glutes, cold/numb feet). I pray the lumbar symptoms stay away as I ween off of meds.

Default Hi nospam

I am hoping the symptoms stay away from you too. I wish you all the best, and pray that medications can be a thing of the past. You are a very strong person. ginnie

My next surgery is scheduled for july 18th. The left side again, but this time supraclavicular approach. Depending on how it goes, I will have the right side done 6 to 8 weeks later.

Same surgeon? What's being done this time? Full scalenectomy? Neurolysis?

yes to all. the surgeon said that on the transaxillary approach they can not get the full rib and scalene. I know on first surgery he said he was surprised at the amount of compression and scar tissue I had. The nurse told me that my scalenes where double in size that she normally sees. So he said that he will clean it all up doing the supraclavicular approach. He did not say what approach he would take when he does the right side, that is something I will have to discuss with him. Dr. Clair from the Cleveland Clinic is doing the surgery. He is an excellent surgeon and I do trust him.

I'm familiar with Dr. Clair's work via my research. I believe you are in good hands!

Thanks, yes he is very well known and head vascular surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic. He does take the time to talk to you and make sure all your questions are answered. Most days he has people following him, and he will ask if it is alright for them to be in the room, or exam you after he already has so they can learn. He is a very good doctor/surgeon and I highly recommend him to anyone in the Ohio area.
