Default fiery chest never stops--what is it?

Update--the carpal tunnel I was diagnosed with is better, and I believe the P/t is helping my shoulder pain. What I am REALLY struggling with is a near constant burning across my chest/rib cage. It began a month ago (other CPT and TOS symptoms began 4 mos ago). Initially I thought it was due to a "rib mobilazation" technique after first P/T appt. I switched to a dif P/T but the burning continues. This P/T has never seen this with TOS. It is the worst when I sit to type, also not good lying on my side.
Ironically, it feels slightly better when I raise my arms over my head. It is NOT heartburn, and nothing cardio. It feels like burning hot sun blazing on my chest area--but it is BURNING.

I do not take any meds for the pain-but today I started 600 mg ibuprofen 3x/day (p/t suggestion).

Any wisdom appreciated--thank you

We have discussed burning before on the forums. You can search for it.

Seems to be caused by irritated or compressed nerves. Mine is correctable by seeing a chiro.

You might also try using an ice pack in the area. 15 mins on, then 15 off, then 15 on.

You might also try the "brugger relief pose" at regular intervals to see if that helps.

That's all I have. Good luck.

I have searched and read several of the posts on burning--but have found few who experience it in the chest area like me. It's the same type burning I feel under arm pit and backs of arms--it just covers my upper rib cage/chest area.

Khakis: You are not alone with a burning chest. I know many TOS sufferers with this symptom. Mine use to burn from my clavicles to my lower diaphragm in the front and all the way down the back to the same area - a burning apron!

With correct PT, the chest burning is gone. The back burning is about 70% gone. Twisting, bending, extending, etc. will usually bring it on in my back.

I've known many people with a burning nipple. Yes, I said it, a burning nipple. I met a PT who practiced in a Middle Eastern country (Lyrica brain can't remember) who said many of his patients presented with a left burning nipple with TOS.

It's a horrible feeling and I hope yours will go away soon.

I've had the burn in a 1 - 2" strip on the chest running underneath and parallel to the collar bone. Sorry I didn't mention that in my previous response.

Is your subclavius tender to pressure? My issues in this region seemed to be directly related to the subclavius.

Me or khakis?

I'm only getting chest burning on the part of the collar bone close to the sternum. But everything shifts around at random intervals.

I have the same burning as chroma described above as well as burning in the scalene area at times.
