okay, so i am actually friends with a radiologist and i'm going to send these to her.. you guys can guess here and i'll post the correct answer when i receive a response.

long story short my pt and i almost got in an argument over this.

i can't tell where my c7 is and the doctor or whoever looked at this, did not say my c7 is big and then i mentioned it to another doctor later who didn't take me seriously and said no it's fine.

anyways heres the pics, maybe my c7 from the side is big i thought that was my t1. i am confused

she also said the serratus basically has zero to do with my ribs being elevated and that the best i could do was get my shoulders to stop hunching over. maybe that's true but it's kind of depressing. i did not always have elevated ribs and my scalenes are not spasming at all.

The first rib is attached to T1, so C7 is right above T1. Easy to see on xneckfront.png, maybe not so easy to identify on the side view.

If you had a cervical rib, it would be attached to C7.

thanks, that's exactly what i thought about the front view. i swear my pt was saying something weird/wrong, like what i thought was t1 was actually c7 or that you couldn't see my first rib in this..

we did not have a good session, lol. she said what difference does it make, pretty much you spend too much time on the internet, why are you analyzing this. i want to know. yeeesh!

my hands are chronically numb because my shoulders are jacked up to my ears and pinching my bp moreso than any rib/c7 stuff, so i do agree on that.

Sounds like PT is threatened by you trying to learn about your health situation??
Some PTs (& drs too) get that way...

yup i think youre right.

i wouldn't be bothered by it if she had been more humble..like yeah, i think might you have a bone that's large in your neck, if you really want to, you could get it xrayed from blah blah angle. but the more i question her about it, the more assertive and stubborn she is. you can't just throw something like that out there to someone who's been in pain as long as i have and not expect them to research it.

but this pt also did not think i had tos, she thought i just had rsd. which i never had.

ive learned that anyone who acts like they factually know what's going on with my "tos" or whatever is full of poop.

Easy way to tell a cervical rib is that the thoracic transverse process goes up & cervical goes down. (and no, don't have one, just a really bad xray & an excitable nature).

Did the PT do other tests to see what was wrong?

no, she's saying that the transverse process is big, not that i have a cervical rib. i mentioned this to a doctor and doc said it's not based on these xrays. what i was wondering is if you can even tell if the transverse process is big here..

i have horrible circulation and winged shoulders hiked up to my ears. i can't remember what pt tests she did tbh. ive been going to pt for a year now i do remember i passed all of those pulse tests when turning my head
