Tongue So I don't have a cervical rib?

The Navy diagnosed me with a left cervical rib based on some fuzzy X-rays and it looked like a neck rib to me too. A few days ago I went to see a civilian chiropracter who took higher resolution digital X-rays and my extra rib is not cervial, it appears to be attached to my 1st rib vertebrae. Chiro said he's seen plenty of cervical ribs but never a double thoracic rib. My rib is perpendicular to my normal set of ribs and hangs down to my 3rd rib. Anyone else have an extra but not cervical rib?

Humble brag: I ran my 1st marathon today (Marine Corps) and a lot of people had tee shirts for their cause and I though next year I will run for TOS awareness! Just kidding, I will never, never run 26.2 miles again. Ever

I don't recall anyone posting about that kind of thing in all the years I've been on TOS forums.

Did chiro think it was a cause of many issues?
Was it over, under, or in between the other ribs / collarbone?

The extra rib appears to originate rom the left side of my T1 vertebrae and instead of being horizontal like the rest of my ribs, it is vertical, hanging down to my 3rd rib. From the blurry original X-ray it appears to hang in front of my rib cage. Chiro said he's never seen anything like that before and needed to do some research. I do have an ortho and chiro appointment tomorrow. Hopefully I can get some answers.

If it's on the outer side of ribs, can anyone feel it during palpation?
Does it show as a bump or distorted area ?
This is very interesting..

Wow, that's even more weird than my 'normal' extra rib. Hope you get some answers. Sounds like you are getting the right help though.
