Default What is Costoclavicular Syndrome?

During my searches for why I have chest pain when I get a TOC flare up, I have come across Costoclavicular Syndrome and have had a hard time finding out what it is exactly?

Thanks

I have that. If I'm not mistaken, it's just a form of TOS. I think it's just a fancier word for it.

when i do the pt test for this (which i guess is adducting your shoulders back??) both my hands tingle

i dont get it though because my shoulders arent like that normally, i would think MOST peoples shoulders aren't. it's the military position.

i actually think that this is not my first rib but maybe my pec minor coming into play here..someone psoted this

Default Re: Pec minor
Please also bear in mind that the balance of muscles around the shoulder girdle, ie the tension of the anterior vs posterior muscles, affects the position of the scapula and the clavicle, which may narrow the costoclavicular interval (the space between the rib and the clavicle). So relaxing the pec minor, which can be done in a number of ways, may widen the space and relieve compression on the brachial plexus.
