Can you consult with some lawyers, to find out about any possible lawsuit with compensation for stress, RSD & surgery pain & suffering?:(
The RSD is a biggie.. that can be a lifelong & painful condition. Sounds like some sort of medical malpractice.. surgeons must make sure they are doing the right thing when they operate on someone. Proving the RSD happening due to the first surgery might be difficult, but if you were generally healthy and didn't have any treatment for it previously & have some high rated drs agreeing that it is RSD. I don't know how medical lawsuits are handled in Canada.. |

being a fellow Christian, I feel like it's required of you to a) not harbor ill will b) forgive c) protect others asking to be forgiven for some transgression does NOT mean the transgressor can walk away with 0 consequences. There are "consequences". You have been badly damaged and will have to live with the consequences of your Dr.'s mistake. He has made a bad mistake and (even tho you forgive him) he has to accept the consequences. His consequence may be going back to anatomy school, or not being allowed to preform TOS surgeries, or being dropped from Canadian Insurance group(s)... etc. You owe it to the hundreds of others who will come after you to PROTECT them from the unnecessary injury done to you. You must pursue this. Not necessarily for $$ (although you DO deserve $ to support you for the remainder of your life), but to prevent this from happening to someone else. I hope this makes Christian sense to you! Anne |
Have you read our RSD forum here?
If you did get RSD from that wrong surgery it will be a lifetime of pain, probably lifelong medications & pain management , and it can possibly spread to other areas. A "sorry" alone won't pay for all that care.:( Did the surgeon even say how it happened? Maybe they need to implement the pre surgery felt pen marking of the correct area - so everyone involved knows what is to be operated on - so this doesn't happen again. If it is RSD there are blocks to be tried early on to see if it can be stopped, I think they are called "stellate ganglion blocks" you can use the forum search to find more details and posts about that. But soon as possible is best for to be able to stop RSD. |

so sorry to hear. Healing is slow from one surgery let alone twice. With my recent surgery found out last surgeon left a little of the first rib for the second surgeon to remove. But I pray for you to have better luck this go round.

thank you all for the best of wishes and i hope you all will not live a day in pain |
