Another Pain Option
I have read, and I do not want to release my own medical information:
You can take your muscle relaxer tablets, 1/2 a bottle, and grind them up in a coffee grinder or other small type grinder and put it into simple, cheap, plain cold cream or soft cream and then mix it. Then when you're doing a light massage, you have the masseuse use that to work into the painful areas, gently, and not too much, and you may see a benefit.
Also talk to your doctor about if you are diabetic, how you might be able to do your pain medication in a diabetic injection and it is cheaper also and easier on the stomach.
Everyone who reaches past a certain pain point really must have a pain management doctor, and they are usually anesthesia guys - there are others, like D.o.s, etc., but the anesthesiologists are the best, I think, if one can find a good one who understands the horrific pain of neurogenic TOS, etc.
I am just trying to hang on, hang in, I have no special insights on how to fight this - I do believe that every TOSer has more than just TOS - some of us have immunological things going on, or TOS triggers it - and like Dr. Brantigan told me, there are so many hundreds they haven't even named yet. So I think that trying something, seeing how it works FOR YOU, and trusting your own conscience, is the best way. I have listened to too many doctors who didn't know what they were talking about, and then just a few who did. Go with how your body reacts.
I try to get a walk in every night - that is my test as to how I am doing - that and whether I am frozen and can't move.
