Hello eveyone out there, for the moment just a short note to let you knkw that my TOS surgery i had on June 19 is so far a success. Had V and ATOS due to position 1st rib. All symptoms in my right arm and hand are gone so far and i am also mostly off painkillers as of today. If you have any questions just ask.
Kind regards |

Great to hear. Please do not rush into anything. Take it slow and let you body tell you what is to much.

Had surgery in switzerland with professor stober handsurgeon Symptoms i had: neck, shoulder, upper and lower arm pain incl hand. Numbness and tingling fingers at night. Headaches, muscle pain, circulation issues with sudden blue hands. Heaviness and weakness arm. Both sides affected but right side worse. The symptoms are gone. Pain now: a bit around incision and where the first rib was. A bit stiff and need lots of rest. Otherwise i am fine. Other side feels better for the moment. |

That is such good news, Swiss Cheese (ha ha)! Do take it easy and don't forget to ask for help when you need it (not an easy task for a TOS'er...).
I have read that if your case is primarily vascular in nature - either arterial or veinous, or both - that the success rate is much, much higher than if you are primarily neurogenic. There is such a wonderful chance for you to have a complete recovery! Just remember, don't push the river... Thanks for posting such an incredible result. I wish you a speedy recovery and a short rehab. Alison |

Thank you and to all the members of neurotalk. I have read through so many messages here n the past weeks. As for myself i decided to trust in the expertise of my surgeon and go ahead. We didn't exactly know what he would find since MRI and xrays showed no abnormalities. A venogramm was extremely decisive since it showed a blocked vene. I found so useful insight from this forum. Thanks! Kind regards to California Isa |

Probably less pain , so less stress & tension overall.
We naturally do it when in pain, a tensed up protective holding pattern that clamps down and limits the in/out flow of toxins & nutrients.

Just a quick update one week post surgery. I am pain free most of the day and sleep well at night. Since yesterday the skin around the scar is a bit tense but this must be coming from the stitches.
Heybro: symptoms left side (not operated) came back last night with pinky and ringfinger tingling. I guess i will have to do surgery there too, but this was clear from the start. |
