Default egoscue

Please explore Egoscue method. To those in southern California ,there is a center in santa Monica and Beverly Hills .
It will correct and heal all your postural and hence muscular imbalances .the program is individualized and it works!
I have had bilateral ribresections and scalenectomies amongst other injuries ,and had I known of this modality sooner... Well one cannot live with "what if's "
I am doing the best in10 years since starting !!!!
It involves some homework(exercises) so worth it!
I used to frequent this board all the time and I want the best life for all of us.
Good luck and to pain free futures .
Metta and peace.

To qualify and quantify:
I have explored scalene blocks ,acupuncture , active release ,somatic experience, etc etc. - the works.
I still love a good massage but it doesn't last too long.
This modality helps you heal yourself. That's what the body wants to do!
We have a lot of imbalances due to our tendency to compensate when one part hurts.
Good luck !

Pete Egoscue's books are in most libraries.
I used them at times many years ago, I still do some of the self help things especially when my low back flares up.

There's a center at 29th and ocean park
I just came from there. I try to go daily to make sure I am doing the exercises correctly.INSTANT relief.
The first session is $250 . Less if you buy a series.
They spend a good 2 hours with you. Postural analysis and diagrams from all angles of where you feel pain.
You can go once a week ,once a month or less .you will benefit as you take the menu home and do it at home.
They keep on updating your menus based on your improving ergonomics and pictures.
Compared with the thousands upon thousands of dollars I have spent over the years and time wasted being horizontal and in pain...so worth it!!!
You can go there daily free of charge to do your exercises and get pointers.
Yes Pete egoscue has some books out that can help you too. I need the personal touch

I liked the books too, but if I had to do it over again, I would have gone to a clinic to get individual assessment and treatment, as well exercise corrections. Now I'm not in the area anymore.

Also, the books are older and who knows if they have any newer exercises, or thing specific to cervical problems, TOS, etc. Well I guess @Juice knows.

But the books were still helpful.

Thanks, thats near me- but a little pricey. do they take insurance? I have an appt with a new pt this week that my Dr. Recommended but thats next on my list. So you just did one session and then go there to do your exercises? And you dont get any pain from them? Is there a person you like there? Someone else on the forum recommended Josh. thanks again

How much have you spent on all your therapies over the last several years? What have you got to lose? If it works you won't need to spend any more money elsewhere chasing the "golden ticket"
Over the years I have learned that the more invasive procedures we do to our bodies , the worse we are long term. My humble opinion
Btw . I have done neural prolotherapy at Ortho healing . Big big mistake for me

Many of us have spent thousands chasing the Golden Ticket (non-surgical treatments). There is no guarantee that Egoscue is worth the expense for those of us without the disposable income.

There are many different causes of TOS. Postural correction doesn't always equal TOS healing. TOS can cause bad posture.

I would be more willing to try if first session was free or discounted, not $250!

Cost is one reason why I explore self help sections in libraries & online first.

Plus trying things at home will give you an idea if it might be better to follow up with a professional, or if it is something to just add into you own home program, or if it does nothing for you.

His books have very low key passive self help corrections. I think their website used to have more of the self help info, but it has changed content.

Might be some vids on youtube
