hi every one..i had a scalenotomy and a half grown c.rib removed..but im terrified now coz my forearm,chest and thumb is totally numb after the surgery till now..wondering if this is normal..did anyone go through the same thing?v.worried..pls help..

It's totally normal for the nerves to be aggravated after surgery. My nerves were screaming and burning for about two months post op. But however your nerves are responding should pass as you recover over the next few weeks and months.

numbness is completely normal. it goes down slowly but steadily. it can take a year.
