Default Hey ChloeCasey

Hi,

I am so sorry you had these complications. The surgery must have just brought on so much trauma for your body.

I think myofascial release could definitely help you, but I am just not sure how sensitive your nerves are, and/or your pain just to touch.

My therapist told me that it doesn't have to hurt to be effective, so I did stop her a couple times when it got painful. That is something to keep in mind.

I wish I could give more words of wisdom on this. I feel so badly for you. Did the surgeon ever give a reason for why you are experiencing so much pain?? did he hit a nerve or something?

lindsayshealth,

I am getting my 1st treatment on Wed. & as far as pain to touch, it is not too bad. My pain is more nerve pain when I lay down and is kind of all over....strange & uncomfortable feeling. Can be pretty bad when I have had an over active stressful day. Usually waking late morning with flu-like symptoms & very fatigued.

As far as the surgeon, let's just say I was not given any reason for what is going on now by the surgeon.... I live a distance from where the surgery was done & only saw him after the surgery up to 1 year after for followups and each time made it very clear of how I was feeling, etc. ....was treated like it was my imagination. My ongoing search for answers has been a long one, along the way some docs either treating me the same or saying there is no connection.

Finally found someone who would listen & as he explained to me the trauma from 3 surgeries and complications caused alot of nerve issues & his explanation is helping me move forward......even though Fibromyalgia has no known cure there are many treatments that are working for alot of patients and I am more hopeful.

I am not trying to scare anyone of making the decision to not have surgery but as in any type of surgery, I believe a patient deserves to be told the truth when there are complications, etc. and not letting a patient go from doctor to doctor.

Thank you for response & well wishes
