What did you do if you had a complication, but you were back home, away from the surgeon?? My doctors here have NO clue about TOS. If I had surgery hours , or a plane ride away, and had some kind of problem, what would I do!?

I traveled 4 hours for surgery (to Barnes Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis). I was in the hospital for 5 days and then had to stay local for 2 more days after that to see them for drain removal and a final check (this appeared to be their protocol). Of course complications could have happened after that week, but I felt pretty secure going home at that point. I do live in a large city so would have had access to vascular surgeons, etc., but no experts in TOS.
