I was told that I was risking frozen shoulder by using a sling, ie completely immobilizing my shoulder joint. If you are only limiting the arm movements, it doesn't seem like it would risk frozen shoulder. Good luck

Having to replace dishes to all plastic. I dropped a pretty ceramic bowl tonight....seems like dishes that are freshly washed or full of food have less resistance to the gravity. |

It sounds like you are in pretty bad shape. I would not waste any more time on alternative methods and go find a TOS specialist which would be a surgeon. There is a list with the drs for all areas. I wasted a whole year on PT, massage balls, you name...aggravated everything for nothing.
Had surgery on both sides, still recovering but doing much better. |

Sadly, I am at the point of accepting that fate. Hence my original post about experiences with surgery. I have been pouring through any bit of info I can find. The resources/folks on this forum have been quite helpful.
Part of me is still in denial and hopes to wake up feeling great tomorrow. It gets quieter each day though. it will be nice to be on the other side of the mountain, I can hope at least. |

Some days aren't as hideous as most. I know that I will pay tonight for the actions I took this afternoon...stretching exercises. I feel so guilty if I don't do them but gosh the karma attached is a bear. My kids are home for the holidays and its been wonderful and taxing. I am learning a lot of hard lessons. Seems that I might be a bit stubborn and not a quick learner. But the boundaries seem to change daily so its hard to keep up. We have passed 10 months now. I know that isn't very long to some of you guys but its enough time to grow a human being. I am really scared that this will be forever. Oh well, Merry Christmas to all and to all a speedy recovery! |
