Thanks. I did but most of them were from 2006- so I don't think they are too active now or if those people will have the same email address.
Happy New Year!

Hi, I had this procedure done bilaterally. Will your's be bilateral? The recovery was more like 6 weeks, not the 2 that the surgeon originally told me.

It gave me excellent posture, I'm still developing the muscles at the back and base of my neck and upper back to hold my head up, but I've always had poor posture. Seriously awesome shoulder posture though. I wear a soft cervical collar because my neck gets tired.

I feel like this surgery compressed my artery even more than it already was compressed. I feel like I would have been better off if I had this surgery along with my first rib resection/scalenectomy. If you have already had those surgeries though, and are still having problems, it increases your chance of success greatly.

Thanks for posting. I have not had any surgeries. I was told about 1-2 months to recover fully and for me to get back to lifting at the gym. I have not had any other operations- this will be the first. I am only doming the right side as that is my dominate side and the worst. Dr. Donahue did have be get a botox shot in the pec minor. With those I get instant relief while the injection is occurring. He suggested that I try this operation first then I could do the more extensive one after if needed. Did you have PT after this?

Hi, if Dr. Donahue is your doctor, you are in the best hands!!! He has also given you a reasonable time frame for recovery. Also, just one side is fantastic, your non-surgical side can compensate for what the surgical side can't do. I was restricted in weight lifting and putting my hands overhead for six weeks.

Dr. Donahue was not my surgeon for the pec minor release, but he is my surgeon now!!! Literally a life savior.

I didn't do physical therapy after the pec minor release. I would suggest doing wall pushups, abs, especially lower abs, and walking for cardio beforehand.

Were you able to wash your hair? I am worried about the arm lifting for that reason. I know silly.
Any recommendation about the operation? I have a heck of a time sleeping now and worry about that after the operation.

I plan to keep at the gym to walk (to cold out to walk) and do some leg exercises and abs work.

Did you feel that it helped you?
