Default Feeling down and confused after scan

I was seen by a vascular surgeon 5 weeks ago, was told I need an opp to remove part of my cervical rib and the rib under it. My X-ray says there's articulated right cervical rib and a peaked left c7 transverse process which may indicate I have a band present also. I have just had a formal duplex, I have left the hospital confused as the lady doing the scan said that physio would be offered? Waiting now to go back to see the vascular surgeon to make sense of this all, just fed up of the pain. Any advice would be great!

I wouldn't worry too much about what the lady doing the scan says, she is a technician and not "allowed" to discuss results or make treatment suggestions. The final say lies with the surgeon. I assume he is the one who requested the test?

Default Thanks for your reply.

When my X-ray result came back, my uk doctor printed out the patient uk info a year ago and handed the sheet to me and said its a pity you fell! theres nothing she can do just wait to see a specialist, which has taken forever!

Thank you for your reply and reassurance ,yes it was the vascular surgeon that requested the test. This lady made me feel very uncomfortable.Because I said that I get dizziness and also all the arm neck pain, she said that it doesn't sound like TOS symptoms! Even tho my xray shows a very large cervical rib! I just hope this gets sorted soon, I am soo stressed out, which is making the pain worse.

Don't worry about her at all, like I said, she is not qualified/allowed to make those comments. Cervical ribs are pretty straight forward, you def need the surgery and I'm sure it will be offered.
