Jo*mar, symptoms just started one day out of the blue. I went to ER and they sent me home with paperwork about generalised anxiety disorder and that is what remains to this day. I have been to 2 different vascular docs both of which gave me scans of my neck looking only arteries which I couldn't have been more specific that my Veins were engorged.

I have been to 4 different cardiologists, 1st one transferred to a different state, 2nd one kicked me out of his office cause I was asking questions and asked him if he would observe how my veins popped out and he lost it then opened the door and waved me out. 3rd one has helped but tells me to forget about my neck veins and now getting a 4th to see what his opinion is but when I brought up veins he said out of his realm.
I have seen one neurologist who did an mri of my cervical spine which of course showed nothing. I am going to list my symptoms on another thread as this one matmamay go away if I take too long.

My symptoms : pain in shoulder, neck and head, pain behind ear all this on left side.
Numbness in left cheek area and headaches on left side.
shortness of breath, left arm fatigue and tingle/pain.
Chest pain with palpitations, general fatigue and feeling of not being well.
dizziness and nausea, lack of concentration and have hard time following instructions.
Biggest concern is my heart is deteriorating when I was in perfect health prior to this.
The other big concern is the veins bulging out of my left neck, my subclavian heaves in and out as I breath then disappears behind my clavicle and of course I can see nothing beyond that. I have been trying to get help for 5 1/2 years and accomplised nothing. I have been treated like dirt from doctors, disrespected and turned away. I have been told to "go home and let it go" by an ENT who did a ct scan of my neck and found I have two painful and enlarged lympnodes. I have had these nodes for the whole time too but they have gotten bigger. One right next to my upper internal jugular and the other near my clavicle.

Do you think you have TOS and that is causing the distended veins?
Any hand arm or elbow symptoms?
Swelling? blueness, color changes?

Severe chest muscle spasms can cause you to feel like you are having palpitations.
Some with TOS /spasms have even gone to ER , and checked out fine for heart.

Perhaps you should skip the drs and find an advanced PT person to give you a hands on in depth assessment. Also a skilled expert chiro should be able to do same..

In the TOS forum sticky threads we have tons of info anda PTs & Drs listings.. TOS is not well known by many general MDs , you may need an expert..

Jo*mar,

Thank you, and no I haven't had any blue or discolored arm, just colder sometimes and fatigues quicker than the right arm. I don't know if I have TOS or maybe my brachiocephalic vein is compressed but something is causing a backup downstream. I was wondering if someone could move this thread into to TOS forum.
