Hi,
My name is Donna. I happened upon this site by accident. I am going through an extremely rough period of my life. I actually feel better just having found this outlet. I am a gay woman. I lost my partner of 18yrs. 4 yrs. ago to cancer. We had a wonderful relationship. I feel like I have been on a downward spiral sense then. I deal with issues that occured in childhood. I deal with anxiety and depression and am on 2 medications. I just feel very lost right now. Thank you for listening.

Hi Donna:

I am so sorry that you lost your partner. Please know that one day, the sun will come out, the day will be a bit brighter. It will happen. For some of us, it just takes a bit longer.

But the day WILL come, I can attest to that.

My friend lost her son on 9/11. We never thought that she would smile again. I mean, who goes through that and smiles again??

Well, her other children married, she became a grandma, and last month her son's wife had twins. So now she's in Grandma mode and while she does have her down days, she has her up days too. Lately, much more ups than downs.

Let's hope for more UP days for you!!!
