I know this has come up with many of us...tingling and numbness in the feet with TOS.
Dr Jordan gave me some insight to this today, as I was talking to him about how sometimes when i am driving i can't keep my foot on the gas pedal (feels exactly like when i can't keep my hand on the mouse with TOS) and i get the occaisional numbness in lest two toes- He said the foot symptoms are caused specifically by piriformis syndrome, NOT TOS...BUT that since it is a similar phenomenon (tight muscle=nerve entrapment) that those who develop TOS and are susceptibel to tight/spasmed muscles often develop this similar condition.... SO, I think that means, TOS is not in the feet, but it is just more nerve entrapemtn and whatever predisposed us to TOS (especially a soft tissue, muscle clenching problem) also can predispose us to Piriformis syndrome... I personally think it must all go back to posture...bc if your posture is bad you are prone to clenching in both sets of muscles... just a thought. arms hurt - must go now johanna
