chronic venous occlusion
Hello,
I have a long venous TOS hx. I was 23 when I was first diagnosed with a L subclavian occlusion. Took about 3-4 weeks after I had symptoms to be initialy dxed. Venoplasty didn't work and I took warfarin for about 6 months with no real relief and was told to live with it. I eventually had symptoms on the R side and was then sent to the Cleveland Clinic. I had bilateral first rib resections. They were able to balloon my R arm open and since then I have had no symptoms. My L side has always given me problems. Eventually became to much and was always have swelling. I had surgery about 8 weeks ago in Albany NY. They did a suprclavicular approach and did a saphenous vein patch which also did not work. I had a venogram about 4 weeks post op with occlusion. They ballooned it open but didn't give me any relief and still having swelling. I sent my record to Dr Thompson in St Louis to request his opinion and I am scheduled for another venogram in Nov.
I have started to dev redness in my R hand and some very vague tingling/burning in my posterior L shoulder and the back of my hand and my fingers on my L hand get really cold. Is this common? Any one have any advice or experience? I am now 35 and I am sick of dealing with these symptoms.
