Transaxillary first rib resection 3 weeks ago. Post surgery pain and numbness etc clearing up but still got pre-op neurological symptoms in hand and neck. Still feels like nerves being messed about in the thoracic outlet, activity sets it all off.
How long should I give it before writing the op off as a waste of tme? |

You can search for "surgery" "resection" here in our TOS forum to find past posts..
If I recall many had various symptoms for quite a few months after surgery. A few even longer, but the main nerve pain was resolved.. Some also had pec minor release or scalene release work done. The nerves stay angry longer and if damaged takes time to recover.. After more recovery time will you be getting some expert PT? Just in case there are trigger points or any other factors causing added symptoms.. Explore the sticky threads up above the main TOS page..
