Heart I have arrived in LA!!!!!!

Hi guys....
I have been here for a couple of hours and had "Linner" (lunch and dinner for those who don't know). I am having a great time. LOVE the heat. I am sooooo looking forward to getting into the Hilton Universals pool and whirlpool soon. It looks great....except if we are going out tonight....I will not get my hair wet! I am sure you can all relate to having to do hair twice in a day.

I say thanks to ALL who have called....Thanks Tam!!! Your info is helping...just looking forward to having time in the heat and at the 'party' is keeping me going! I also had a beer and am now on zanaflex so one sip and wow is the effect.

hope to hear from anyone who will give info on what to do while here and what is a must see while here. Thinking of the observatory....science nerd ....universal studios and perhaps a tour on the 24hr bus tour so who knows it is just nice to not be on a plane anymore....I hate travel but love going places....go figure

okay guys....bring on the suggestions!!!
love an hugs to you all....and a special one for Tam! thanks for today!
Victoria
sooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to meeting everyone here....how many people are coming??????? just curious?
Victoria

I haven't been to the NEW Griffith Observatory but saw the documentary and YES do it.

GET THEE TO A SEPHORA girl...you love cosmetics and I LOVE Sephora as you can take a basket and just fill it to the brim...

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME REMEMBER the name of the outlets that are on the 5 freeway and look like an Egyptian monument...

and are there outlets in Thousand Oaks? I think Victoria's in the Valley right now? WHERE in the L.A. county (country) are you??? It is huge!

Victoria is seeking some outlet shopping.

Hi Victoria,

Please let me know if you are going to be int he Santa Monica area M-W because I would love to meet you before I leave for my trip.

LEts see you are in Universal CIty. You are not far from the observatory.

Also let me know if you would like to go to the tonight show one afternoon. I can get you tickets.

You are also close to The Grove which is some nice shopping. Not outlet but nice.

I think the closest outlets are in THousand Oaks or out near Tam in Palm Springs. I think the Palm Springs is actually nicer.

I sure hope you have a nice week.

Default you guys rock

Thanks guys for the input....
go figure Tam I too usually buy online and answer the door in my pj's usually!!!!! lol

I am not sure Shelley if i could make it to a tonight show, I'd love to go but Marc is at his conference till thursday afternoon and is taking a shuttle that doesn't come back to universal till 730 at night so he wouldn;t be with me....I am a little wary to go on my own to anything so thinking the pool will be my pal......however I am totally wanting to go....we are looking at a universal studios tour and an LA city tour at night. also we may go to Tijuana on a bus trip from the hotel. Not set in any stone yet....but Marc expressed an interest and I love to have him pick and see him happy as he helps me so much at home..
(he actually know knows i need more help and is doing more....)
so to see him happy makes me happy too... bonus points are always good!

I really could live in a Sephora and want the American prices not the Canadian ones...and Marc does need new Hugo boss Del Ma?? don't know the spelling but smells like heaven...oh baby.... need some of that don't I hmmm needs vs want...this is a need!!

well he's had his nap and I guess I better enjoy him while I have him

thanks guys,
love ya'll to bits
Victoria

Go to the concierge and ask him/her where you can go while your hubby is at a conference, you need a driver & car and possibly disability help.
I have no qualms asking for help any more

Universal studios is fun..I wanna go!

The beaches...I wanna go
The Gene Autry museum of Indian Art
The Ivy where all the celebs go eat lunch
WICKED is playing at the Pantages- http://www.broadwayla.org/
Its FAB and you can walk up during matinees and at night and get good seats.
You are also close to Universal Walk - shopping, movie theaters, lots of eaterys
