Several months ago I developed a swelling in this area. This happened in my "good" shoulder and I was concerned. Had a cat scan on the lump and turned out to be a fatty cyst. It's about the size of half an orange and is still there. Don't assume anything.

Beth,
Before I had my surgery, I would have that swelling in that same area. It would seem much worse at night when my pain was the worse. The Vascular surgeon that did my surgery may a comment on it while examining me. The comment seemed to say that it was just another symptom pointing to TOS. Since my surgery, I have no problems with swelling. Peggy

I have an appointment with my neurologist on Thursday and I am going to mention the swelling. I'm sure you all know about forgeting questions while you are there and don't think of them until you are home. I will try to write this one down. I also have an appointment with Dr. Togut in two weeks.
Thanks for bringing this thread up. I have wondered about the swelling. Linda |

it's the entire area from the shoulder to the elbow. I've noticed my fingers swell occasionally but not always when my upper arm is swollen. I also have the worse ache/cramp in the muscle when it's swollen like this.
