Default has anyone tried???

the sully shoulder stabilizer?? I got one on thursday and it really seems to be helping! I think i may be able to avoid surgery for now. It hasn't helped my circulation just yet but it is helping with the swelling in my upper arm. It's not the most comfortable thing to wear but I'll deal with it.
The PT was funny when he put it on me for the first time, he was amazed with what a difference it made ~he could actually see how it made my shoulder move back to where it belongs
I do know when I take it off at night it hurts after about a half hour. I wish I could wear it all the time but I don't think it would smell to good after awhile.

I had to look it up....here's a link if anyone else needs it : http://supportsusa.com/arm/shoulder2/sully-shoulder.htm

How comfortable is it fitting over the "gals" ?

I think using it at night would be even more helpful, to me personally. I'm always waking up in a crimped position with my left ear and shoulder too close to each other (and we all know what that means ) Maybe get a second one ? Did your insurance cover it or was it private pay ?

the first day I put it on myself I wasn't very uncomfortable but I think I got the hang of it now. When put on correctly it really helps. As for the "girls" it's not too flattering or should it say it's flattening and I'm not a small gal in that department
I must say I do have to adjust it for that reason. If was probably made with a man in mind as it really doesn't cover the "other half". The other thing I noticed is that if I wear it over a shirt i have to adjust it several times a day. If I wear it under my clothes it's hot (it's neoprene like wearing a diver's wet suit). It really doesn't rub when under my clothes, just hot.
I do feel a difference if I havent worn it for a day. So i'm thinking it's starting to help.
Keeping my fingers crossed XXXX

Default taping the shoulder

i'm glad it's helping. hopefully you will get used to it very soon.

have you tried Taping the shoulder. A trained PT could help you with this but i'm not sure how you'd find one. It may provide the needed support and be less cumbersome than the sully.

everyday seems alittle better. I'm not having as much discomfort as I was but I still don't have the circulation back in my hand. hopefully that will improve with time.
Oh and my insurance company covered it 100%, so for me to try it it was a win/win situation.
