There are videos with the foam roller use and other therapies in our useful sticky thread.

I'll post it here for those that are interested in seeing how to do it.

video link of Foam Therapy Roll = use & techniques-
the final part is what the adv PT suggested for me to do opens chest/pecs and drops shoulders

other therapy videos- explore

I need to start doing these again - I've gotten off my schedule of doing the "maintenance" stuff, and with the cold and snowy weather we've been having I am really feeling the effects of this neglect.

Another snow flurry with nickel size flakes just starting now,
I posted a snowy yard picture from yesterday morning up in the Photo Gallery-

Thanks Jo! The foam roll looks like a great idea to open up the thoracic outlet area. An idea that I had never thought of before. Gonna have to give it a try.

Also, I like to photo of the snow. Looks a little like my neck of the woods!

Bilateral TOS. dx 2006
Confirmed with MRI (Collins) Venous, arterial and neurological both sides. Pain left>right.
No accident caused. Came on over time. Probably combination of suspectibility, computer, posture and ??
No chest or overhead exercises permitted. Everything else encouraged. Upper body exercises done with shoulders down and back to insure thoracic area open and stays open (critical).
Circulation improved
pain improved
no surgery. not needed. no cervical rib. PT works. Patience.
Noticing new things every day. Recent is self adjustments to C5-T2 and clavicle relieves nerve, releases muscle tightness.

I wish you could've come to my house, Olecyn's or Johanna's.

I actually talked to Dr. Collins several times at length - he is a vey compassionate doctor for us - and discussed that he might come to our meetings if we'd like. Imagine that! Kind man.

God bless you on your journey...I try to face each day to somehow get the pain down and in some way improve my over all health...so I like your gung-ho attitude!

ahh, I see...
I thought you were using pressure of some sort like leaning into something to make adjustments.
