Oh Beth,

Your story made me cry. You write so eloquently, and the events flow not only chronologically, but emotionally as how we felt them as we went along together down the TOS path...I felt those periods right along with you. And the way you ended it - perfectly - yes, that IS what I want from Dr. Phil for my family, show us how to be a vibrant family again - something like what we were - how to have fun, set reaonable goals, have neighbors and rebuild a rich American life.

Even if Dr. Phil doesn't do a show on TOS as we have asked, I can not tell you how this experience has shown me that we have created a TOS family, that we are as a group getting better, that as a group we are helping eachother to get better, and things are going to eventually look up despite our momentary physical state. I have you guys. Thanks.

I have enjoyed reading everyones letters to Dr. Phil. I have started, and stopped a letter many times. At first it is too long, then it reveals too much personal information. I REALLY would like to see this happen. I could always do something anonymously. At this point in my life I just want to get one and put this in the past, but, ANYWAY I could help someone else is too strong to ignore. I will keep watching to see if I can be of help. Linda

Heart

As soon as I heal a bit, I have an idea that we should put all of our stories of how we got injured, our paths to healing, our thoughts on healing, and our thoughts to those who are not injured. We can put it in a book, and separate all profits according to percentages of writers - equally. I feel this book should be done, primarily to WARN people that you can get sick from a computer, from bad positioning via surgery, via injections, via car accidents (mvas), etc., and simply by sheer over work.

What do you all think of this idea?

I have family in the editing and publishing field, and perhaps they would help us.

And again, any monies would be split according to the number of contributing authors, no matter the number of words or "level" of TOS - just a straight, fair count.

God bless you all.

Please PM your ideas.

One possible idea is that I could end the books with a work comp, social security section, where again, we give our practical (not legal, this is not a legal treatise) advice. I've given a lot of practical advice through these past 5 years that I've saved.

I'd like to add that I'd like to do this before my health deteriorates any further, even though I am praying for a healing and full return to health.

Question cervie's, or not cervie's?

Tam, did you wish to include the "musculo-skeletal birth anomaly" segment of our population? Or is this project limited to those with repetitive stress/work injury TOS? I understand that it may be more focused on being cautionary - warning readers that there are things they can do to prevent TOS.

(Those with extra scalenes or cervical ribs don't have much choice)

Great idea! There needs to be some books on TOS from both sides of the coin: Patients and Physicians.

Tam Your ideas are great for the Dr. Phil Show or a book. Maybe we could get a survey to see how people became best friends of TOS or how they have had to deal with it since. Career changes, family changes and just how if effects our daily life. I am leaving for Disney in 3 days so I am SO OVER THE TOP of things to do I could scream. As I have poted I am the #1 driver. I have my pillows ready. Just I am goingthrough tax stress, coullege stress andbasic driving to disney stress. I am having A very hard time packing. Since I pack for myself, hubby, 15 year old(he's in a cast so he is exempt from scrutiny) and 5 year old, Iam like azombie.

Tam, I hope you are feeling better. Please take care of yourself!! Linda

No one has heard anything back from Dr Phil ? Even a "thanks for the letter, but we are not interested" message ?
