Exclamation Could someone check in on Tam?

Could someone check in on Tam? (TShadow).

She hasn't been on here in nearly 3 weeks...it's not like her. I sent her an email yesterday but thought maybe someone has her phone # for a quick check-in

I've sent email & PM. Haven't heard anything back yet.
I just reinstalled a new win XP after computer mess up and can't get to my old saved files on the other broken XP yet.

She did mention she would be moving again at some point.
So maybe she is dealing with that.

There's quite a few that haven't posted for awhile, I hope they are all just taking a computer break and will be able to check in soon.

Thanks so much, just wish there was a better way for us long-timers to keep tabs on one another.
I'm in the "can't type too much" category at the moment. But I did get the new Mac voice recognition software "Dictate" from MacSpeech. They "crossgraded" from iListen that I bought last fall.
Mac OS X speech recognition using the Dragon NaturallySpeaking engine. Limited release started February 15, 2008. MacSpeech estimates that orders will begin shipping to the general public in late February to early March, 2008. This replaces MacSpeech's former iListen product.

Haven't had a chance to play with it yet. Taking too much Lyrica and still haven't killed the major flare that peaked over 3 weeks ago.

Marabunta,

I want to thank you for your concern.

For 9 days I was in the hospital, then a week after started our move to Rancho Mirage out past Palm Springs. It was so very hard. Although I was told do "nothing", with literally hundreds of boxes (that had been boxed by professional boxers last year and were paid by box, so some boxes had just one item in them, don't recommend that service but what could I do? Cost thousands...) Anyways, if the boxes felt light and I thought that there was just one item in them I did it.

The down side is that it reminded my right shoulder of an ortho injury and that had started hurting.

We have WIND out here that never quits! Really different from Orange County where I lived all of my life.

So I am fight the insurance co.s now to give me the right meds, treatment dates, and not to get help for this shoulder that has been probably torn (per MRI in 1993) but the "future med" now consists of these Utilization Reviews where the doctors are not given hardly ANY of your medical report information, and then they deny everything.

This UR procedure is a really nice scam being used against us in CA to say "no" to vitally need medical help.

In my state of medical illness, I don't know what I can do to fight the SCAM of URs. Even just for me, let alone for all of us.

Other than that, I have had no energy for any additional problems, so I honestly apologize for having been absent from the board.

God bless you Marabunta and God lead your healing today.

Question

Thanks for checking in Tam, we all are concerned for you. It's been shuch a long rough road.

Thanks also for the moving info. What a gyp! 1 item in a box - sheesh! I had been considering NV, AZ or NM as possible locations to retire to - but I never considered the constant wind (Santa Anna's?) blowing down the mountains into the desert. That would cause me pain I imagine. Does the wind bother you?

So sorry you had to spend time in hospital. Keeping you in my prayers, dear one.

Anne
