However, I think (for what ever its worth) that when you have TOS it messes up your entire bodies 'balance', feet go numb, head hurts, whatever... Since I have vascular TOS I believe the entire right side of my body is a little 'off kilter'. For example, even though my vains in the shoulder and upper arm are clearly negitively effected by TOS, nobody can explain why the veins in my right leg are distended as well. Probably just vericose veins starting, or its just one of those things...

oooo.....i posted on here a while ago about veins on the back of my leg (the side which i have probs with my foot) are starting to become more apparent and looking a little bit like varicose veins.....coincidence, or tos?.....

Dabbo... I found that the frozen bottle worked great for me ! I also use a small rubber ball first thing in the morning when I get out of bed.. roll the ball for a minute or two and that loosens up the muscles...

Well I had to have my Dr. write a letter sating that it was a life and safety issue that I see a podiatrist.... and my PC wrote it and sent it to me and I brought the letter up today( to the Podiatrist .. too many Dr's !). She said that some time this week the lab will cast my feet, then I guess they will make the arch supports from that ! The foot is doing a little better since he put sticky tabs in my inserts to help keep the arch up. It is quite painful huh ??

Dabbo are you going to see someone ?? I think you should... Well I am off to bed.. I started on a new Pain Med and it makes me super sleepy !!

Hang in there MF and let me know how things go .... Tracey and Sunny I hope you guys are doing o.k...... Hugs to everyone

hi dolfinz....i have had on/off numbness in my foot (kinda like the feeling of when u have a numbing injection at the dentist). When it first happened (on my tos side) my foot was a lovely blue/red colour for about 48 hrs - went to my general dr and he said i had prob just irritated a nerve in my foot (i wasnt convinced!). On the 22nd im seeing what is apparently the ONLY real TOS dr in the uk so im going to mention it to him......

Hope your podatrist can make your foot situation at least bareable for you.

Hey finz.... I haven't been to another doc yet. I should go (I know...) The stretches have helped some, but if it doesn't get better then i'll have to find a podiatrist. How long before you get your orthotics?

In my second year, I developed sever pinsandneedles pain feeling. I was luck to have a doc who could put together the pieces adn said it'sabout TOS.

But remember theythinkI may have an Immunological disease - notyet named - that is causing the biggest prolem.

Now I can't remember your question...I'd better go back to bed!

I was told I had Plantar Faciaitis as well and I found it really difficult to run as a basketball player without having to feel the pain. I was told by a friend of mine, who is pursuing on with his career to be a pharmacist to take Fish Oil pills. So I took his advice because you can buy them at any store, it's not over the counter, and after weeks of taking the pill and stretching the bottom of my feet I no longer felt the pain. Fish Oil does do wonders!

11 years strong, and it's moved down on me, too -- I believe I'm in the plantar fasciaitis category as well. sorry if i spelled that wrong. but, yah, my feet get really painful every now and then, and I know that's what it is. Maybe it's connected to all of this somehow, because it seems like it's happening to a lot of us.

I haven't been diagnosed yet, but I have a numbing in my left leg when I stand or walk for any longer than 10 min. My feet swell also.

I had plantar fasciaitis a few years ago and found the stretching took care of that problem.

I get alot of cramping in my feet at night.

Hi everyone !!

Sorry for not writing sooner , but was on a trip.....

Well, there are some updates on my feet ! I did get the Orthotics on Sept.. 23.. At first my feet hurt for a bit, but they felt alot studier and and supported. I wore them for the entire trip ( 10days) and when I got back, I saw the Podiatrist and he modified them again because my arch wasn't up against the insert as much as he would of liked it . So I am now getting used to a higher arch.

My Tarsal Tunnel( the joint on the bottom of your foot) keeps freezing up tho and that hurts ! Especially if I walk barefoot... and the turning in on both ankles seems to be getting better also. Whew ! That's alot of stuff going there down there !!

I would suggest Dabbo if you can see a foot doctor , maybe it will help... I too take Fish Oil and do the stretching, but I think because I have Tarsal Tunnel and the Pronated ankles that I need a little more than that !

I hope everyone is doing o.k..... I hope everyone has a great weekend..

Hugs to everyone!

Default fish oil omega 3-6-9

Hi just wanted to say about the fish oil or your omega fatty acids.....they are a very potent anti-inflammatory. I just started taking some with my celebrex. they work well together. I also read a study that says that celebrex helps to stop the pain cycle by suppressing the messages sent through your spinal cord to your brain about the pain. So both meds the oil and celebrex together will hopefully help out with my pain....I am one giant experiment......

can't say much about foot pain except I am sorry to those who have to endure that as well as tos!!!!

love and hugs,
Vic
