gibbrn/Victoria is really right on the need for you to cut back on your activities.

I told my kids they needed to start doing their own laundry and the youngest was 10 at the time. They all did fine, we mainly wear casual clothes anyway so no ironing etc..

It's good for them to learn this stuff anyway
They can dust, do dishes, sweep the floors, clean the bathroom, vacuum..

When our carpet was ready to be replaced we switched to laminate flooring mainly for allergy reasons -but also to limit the need for vacuuming....

Thank you for all of the help. I went to my doctor again yesterday and my arterial ultrasound results had come back. He told me that there is damage to my arteries. I am not sure the extent but now he wants to monitor my heart. He is also going to send me to a cardio-thoracic surgeon. Finally some help. I am still waiting for the pain management appt. I am anxiously waiting for that. I need some relief.

Just wondering if anybody knows if artery damage could have been prevented if these base practitioners would have done something sooner?

I have the kids doing a lot around the house. They can do pretty much everything...except cook LOL! I don't want to eat burnt food LOL! They have been pretty good about helping out.

This is just a nuisance on top of all of the other symptoms. Now the pain is getting so bad I feel like I have to hold my chest all the time.
Hi, just wanted to say that i often have moments where my heart feels like its skipping a beat and then pumps really fast and then settles down again.....dont think that this is a symtom of tos - rather a reaction to the emotional stress that tos can put on you.

About a year before i had tos, my heart was constantly beating fast - i was on beta blockers to calm it down....this was the result of a stressful job (this is the same office job i was working when tos symptoms started.....coincidence?!)

However i didnt have any chest pain to go with the fast heart beat - but think that TOS can cause chest pain - some of the other guys on here are a little more knowlegable than me though regarding the anatomy! Perhaps u should do a search on chest pain on the forum and see what other threads/posts there are related to that?.

Thank you. That is the same symptom I am having. A rapid heartbeat. I also get palpitations. It is strange. My doctor said that my arteries are distressed which I think may be a cause of this. Who knows. Right now I am waiting for a referral to go see a cardio-thoracic surgeon.

Finally my doctor put me on meds that are actually working to help with some of the pain. I think he realized that I am in an awful amount of pain.
