I found keeping my upper body warm, with blankets, throws, Snuggies, or sweatshirts really keeps my pain down. Too much heating pad can cause swelling. so better to wrap up with something. Arms socks or warmers that cover your hands and fingers also.

try it. I hope it helps you like it does me.

Hey guys, thanks for all your advice .

So I've started stretching more and this really seems to help. Symptoms have gone down quite a bit - leg pain is going too. My anxiety levels dropping have helped I think too.

Problem is - I keep waking up in the night with really severe chest pain - radiating down the arm.

I had it last night at about 1am, then at work at 11am. Then I went for a walk and it went. I then went to the gym and burned 340 Kcals, and felt great again but its coming back as I write and now I dont want to go to bed!

I know its not my heart but when its attacking it certainly scares the crap out of me. Excuse the french .

Are these symptoms familiar to anyone ? Basically you guys are all I have right now. Guys from london town - appreciate the names as well.

I dont think it's my heart because with the chest pains I can easily get up, stretch, and then walk it up. I read somewhere angina like symptoms that dont intensify with walking are TOS related. Plus i'm fairly fit and am only 30.

BUT

At night when I get the angina symptoms I sometimes develop what can only be described as anxiety attacks - the pain gets worse (really painful) as I think more about it -I assume thats because my body is responding to the anxiety by increasing heart rate or something...

One other symptom I havent mentioned, and something that the doctor mentioned - my chest and thoracic outlet (Brachial Plexus region) is very hot at times. Not when I have the angina like symptoms though.

Based on all this evidence - opinions are welcomed - I know they are only advise. I would like your advice on who I should try and see.. A vascular type doctor, or someone else?

THANKYOU

Question

One final thing... I've noticed my aching jaw getting worse... I've just played soccer and while the usual TOS symptoms were OK (bit of a numb arm afterwards and veins banging away on my neck but nothing too bad), my teeth were really sensitive and my jaw is aching on the same side as the TOS symptoms. My neck is a little stiff too.

The glands under my jawbone toward the voice box (not the obvious ones, these are quite deep in) are swollen quite badly and with the senstivie molars its really quite bad.

Are these symptoms TOS related? Ive read loads of the stuff on the links you've posted and I have seen jawache is related.

muscle tightness and trigger points could be causing the new stuff.
check this chart to see if anything fits-
http://www.pressurepointer.com/pain_reference_chart.htm

for the sleeping and symptoms, maybe how you are positioned?

many of us had to find new ways to seep when our symptoms are bad.
At one point I was padding my elbows to keep them straight and to relieve the pressure from the bed - on my ulnar nerve.

I still suggest a good dr that will rx some pT with advanced therapist.
