Default Anyone using I-net for holiday shopping? Any "finds"

Today will be the first that I am actually going to the stores. So far I have shopped online. The reason to even go to town today is my order came in at J.C. Penny, instead of shipping it here...I forgot about that perk.

I ahve done a lot of Ebay items.
But, there are a lot of sites with free shipping going on, Penny's was one and Disney store the other.

I go to www.couponmountain.com and put in the store and look for codes as discounts and free shipping.
www.couponsaveit.com www.fatwallet.com

Don't go in the front doors of websites, like www.target.com ...use the above links to search for back doors and codes and don't forget to enter them. They often give 6-10 % off and free shipping.

I want to drop by L.L. Bean site,
I am looking for a weather staion, a nice wireless one that has outside temp and other perks, and also a weather radio with a hand crank generator. With the emergency last week, it was a mad dash to grab flashlights, the tiny TV, and hurrican lamp after it was all over.

My transistor radio did not work, couldn't find the spare batteries, So I am thinking of these for hubby as toys and good investment.
I wish I could line up what stores carry before I get there. Maybe a few minutes online I can see if ****'s sporting or somebody has sales?

I would ask, what do men want? But that is a loaded question, lol.

I have to do this, need for grandson, Katie and hubby, everyone else is a small gift and certificate or cash.

(I am trying hard to get though the holidays, this is my attempt to act like it is the holidays. I miss my parents, money sucks, AND it is all coming TOO FAST!)

Hi Di,

Yes, I did some i-net shopping w/my husband helping me. He did all the store shopping.

Thanks for the info. I ordered at JC penny and was told I'd get free shipping and when the package came they had charged me for the shipping.
They were not nice and said it was because some of the items I purchased were on sale and they would not help me. So I'll not go in the front door next time if I shop there again.
I got mine all done now, wish everyone did. Maybe a few pain free days would help

Hope

Di for sporting goods you may try "cheaper than dirt.com" or "sportsmansguide.com" yes that is all one word. These two have alot of neat toys, worth checking out!

Hi Hope, When I ordered at first the code for shipping wouldn't work, so I called. The "Wonderful lady",lol, said Oh, you did n't read the fine print, the super clearance items (they are suppose to have red sentence that says inelegable, are not free shipping. But, I caught before I hit the order now button.

I took those items off and put on a housecoat for the 11 yr. old and it was over $50 and all counted, but a T-shirt did not come in. But, I found two nice tops at the store when I picked up the coats today.

Hi Mar, I will check them out, I was hinking like a weather radio that can recharge cell phones, (Although ours did not work anyway during the emergency) Black and Decker makes one, and there is a ahnd crank one on Amazon.com free shipping tht day.
I would like a nice weather station for out side temp and humidity too.

I will look and see waht ideas they have on the web sites.

Hi Di...

Sierra Trading Post still has bargains and free shipping for any amount IF you use Pay Pal for payment.

I start my online shopping the week before Thanksgiving....just to make sure items arrive on time. Many sites had free shipping or low shipping (overstocks.com had $1.00 shipping for a while) but with Christmas so near...many of the offers have ended.

If you have a Visa card with LLBean...you always get free shipping on orders.

My lastest order was from Diamond Organics in California. My purchase was an organic fruit sampler...pricey (for a very healthy/picky relative ) but the shipping was included.

I love the Talbots site AFTER the Christmas holidays...when they have great markdowns.

Hope you and your family have a glorious holiday!

Love, Carly

I like www.fatwallet.com - they usually have all the good sales and stuff listed- not only that, but if you click on a store thru fatwallet, you can get cash back. not alot of cash, but it adds up over time. pretty neat idea!

Confused Amazon

I just hit www.amazon.com they had emailed there was special shipping offer. I got a toy for husband, a weather band radio, Redcross, FP400 or something, it has a crank or batteries, and can charge three cell phones.
I found T*Witches books for Katie and a DVD all free shipping. Shipping the 16th...supposed to arrive the 22nd I pray!

I think I am done unless they offer free 2-3 day delivery.
I had a few things on Ebay...think I will pass.

The watch from Disney.com won't be in until Jan 12th, poohy.

I am still motivating to put up the tree...I am down the son's watching toddler, but when I get home I do ahve to get it up, it is in the center of the floor right now!
