Default What should I do?

Just need some input here.

I am going to a naturopathic right now. Part of her treatment modalities is this radio frequency zapping parasites and the like, along with detoxing. She does other things too. new to me but willing to go along with the plan for 3 months and more if helping. Seems to be a little expensive.

so far the cleansing and zapping and ionic foot baths are helping me in many ways. I do want to get healthier.

Am also participating in a "Women's Walking for Better Health." (once a month) wasn't able to do that last year. So much improvement in back and leg too.

She also has a water purifying system that adds akaline to the water. We bring our own jugs and fill them for home use. Well, I'm peeing a lot better. didn't know I was peeing bad, but I drink too much Pepsi (acid).

My next step is, she does agressive, deep tissue massages. She also does balancing, which I need but goes along with the massage. My question is -- and I've mentioned TOS TOS TOS and she don't seem to have any reservations about being able to "fix" me.

I'm scared because I don't want to lose the ground I've gained. It took me 7years of hell to get here, (I am a believer in TOS) and these other two years have been pretty good but I know I can get whacked out real quick. I rebound much better so I don't mind giving up some and being in a bad shape for a short while.

She has been in business for 20 years and seems to be very knowledgeable with her craft.

So my question is: Should I let her have her way and trust that she can do this and just go for it?

I know others who are farther in their treatment with her. They have bruises from the massages. Mostly on or around the shoulders and deltoids. These friends don't have TOS. Just more normal aches and pain, work-related, age-related conditions. I don't mind the bruising, really after all I've been through I don't, but the wrong way may put me back down for a long time. And I remember how bad that was, going and complaining, nothing helping, paying, and me driving home with my arms killing me... and paying for it, over and over and over... and my treaters and the rest of the world going on about their happy, healthy lives.

I can do about anything I want, with few problems, and mend pretty good, but I remember how little help is out there... and less understanding to be found...

I do like her a lot. She is very concerned and has a lot of attention to give. We are also talking about her training me - she says she has the credentials to do that - so I can apply Kinesio tape to people and treat people with the LED and infrared lightz that I've found to help me tremendously.

What would you do if you were me?

do you think she would stop or adjust her "style" if you told her it was too much for you at any point?
I don't know how you are as to delayed pain from things now,
that is something to tell her about too, if you get that still.

You might be at a stage where you can handle it, but at lighter touch than she does on "normals"
I'd ask her to start out easy and let you tell her if you can take more pressure or not.

I'd like to hear more about the ionic foot baths.
does she go by the color of the water changing ? or do you go by just that you feel lighter and better?

I've read that the water color changes probably don't really mean much, but I did feel lighter and better after the 1 time I tried it at my chiros office.
But the first time was free and 60.00 per session after that. too much for me, I'd do $20 or so, for a few more times to see if i really see a difference.
I'm thinking about asking if he can give me a deal or discount since I'm a long term client...
or I could buy one off amazon or ebay

Thanks for your input. I value your opinion.

I can take it, whatever they can dish out... and wore a few good ones out too. I can have the tough woman's contest hands down. Nobody wants to go where I've been. I don't regret it, even though I now know some things didn't help and maybe actually hurt my conditions. I was bad then and would try anything. not much to lose at that point.

After my PTs works on me I do suffer for like 3 days guaranteed. It's more than soreness and aches and pains. I revert to that 45 degree angle, balls and pillows and I would call myself a wimp at this stage, or just whipped. I really am in a bad way of the mornings especially, trying to make coffee, shower, do hair, tie shoes are very painful. I don't feel normal with my upper body. Grip and sensation is off. My arms are cold. Seemingly I don't want to move my arms in any direction away from my body, although my arms are in a lot of pain.

and I even think I'm losing oxygen to the brain by way of the scalenes being too tight and swollen, or something. I'm not able to communicate very well. The words are not easy to complete. Like sometimes stopping in the middle of a sentence to collect my thoughts and think. I don't want to talk loud or talk at all, eat peanut butter sandwiches or be upright. I'm very light and sound sensitive at this point.

But even knowing that, I would still endure to get closer to a cure... if that's possible. I just don't want to lose the ground I've gained. Would rather keep what I've got than to go back to a pain scale of 8, 9 and 10 for 24/7. Very few 7s for 7 years+

My problem I learned. All mine to deal with and pay for. No fun.

My pain scale started going down after my epidurals in 2006. I was able and did do more to help myself.

I have a bad neck too. The two times she's worked on me, and I mean not much, just in my neck and shoulders, it's awakened that bad side up. She really wasn't doing massaging. She was doing Rainbow drops. Yea, I'll try anything. You're lying on your belly, on a massage table. She's been to Africia to see these extracts of oils. Interesting. Your back is bare. She drops these oils on each side of your spine, then rubs them in. She was just massaging the oils in but done some light massaging to the neck, neck sides and back of neck and shoulders. Then she puts a hot towel on your spine, lay there for about 20 minutes. You're done.

Got me wondering if that extra ill effect could be coming from my bad neck.

But then you roll over and she does this strength resistance testing on your shoulders, elbows, thumbs, hips, legs, and then she's manipulating, doing her thingy, and tests again. It's an amazing reality. Not a lot of handling for the result she elicits. More in her technique. She is good.

I can take that type of extra ill effect, even though I know it's a 3 day event. I would. I'm afraid of relapsing into the 8, 9, 10 point. Would rather die, literally.

BTW, she's done holistic medicine for 30 years. I went up to get water today and her patient in there was our circuit clerk. she said she'd been coming for 30 years. On a wellness regimen, though. Not TOS.
Do I make myself clear?

On the ionic foot bath, she goes by color. In my objectivity, I asked if she'd let the ion thing run in the water for a 30 minute cycle just to see what it would do without my feet in the tub. She didn't oblige and I didn't push. She didn't charge me for it that day, either. I think her charge is $30 or $35. The clerk was having her weekly ionic soak, though.

The foot soak seems to be a thing she does while you have your palm placed on a metal rolling platen while she's running a program that picks up viruses and parasites. I had tons of things. Epsteen bar, strep, tetanus-which I just had a tetanus shot around Memorial Day for a puncture wound by a hoe, from gardening. Then it's essential to take an Epson Salts dosing to rid your body of the dead parasites and things she's zapped by the raido frequency. Everyone should experience a double dose of Salts. I lost 5 pounds overnight.

She also puts you on a supplement regimen. $71 bucks for the supplements. I understand I will need to do that every 6 months.

I'm able to garden and can, with problems of course, these last two years and I don't want to go back to not being able to do things like that.

Just don't know what to do.

Sorry so long. I type for a living...

BW--I think it's worth a try for a limited amount of visits. I would re-read your post and consider taking out the term "cure" that you use. Don't you think TOS is something that you manage-even if you don't experience pain or bad posture for the rest of your life?

I would agree w/Jo and would consider asking for a lighter version or for shorter duration of intense very deep work. btw-I endured long term deep work from a Chinese speaking osteo... in chinatown. He let it be known via translation that he was working on freeing the nerves in the neck to arms. I was ok with this pressure at that time but I did ask him to go a bit lighter. It did not harm me but in the end I don't think it had a great cumulative release. I also know TOS folk who have done well w/Rolfing and that is very deep work. I'd use your intuition and try to isolate new things so that you can see if/how the various things work. I'd also add ice or whatever is appropriate after doing the deep work. Your morning response does sound like it's more than would be wise for me. imo-It's not about how much you can tolerate but if the work helps you release and has a lasting and cumulative benefit.

thanks for letting us know about this new work; it's exciting to hear about a new approach.

Default can relate to the parasites part

i wish i could zap my parasites away. i am familiar with the machine and the cleanses. i got a lot of relief from hulda clarks kidney cleanse when i had my gall bladder problems. not sure i want to try the liver cleanse.

the zapper machine is not hard to make, if u have the tools. my mom and i made a few together when she was still alive.

anyway, my doggie needs to go to the vet. has some pinworms or something. after reading all about them on the net i am wondering if that is what my rash is. so i have gotten some otc meds to see. wonder why the docs don't think of something so simple. i have been to the doc twice and they look at it 2 seconds and they pronounce it a fungus, with no testing.

its no wonder we seek medical help on the internet and from alternative meds, since our doctors are so incompetent these days.

Thanks for your post.

I have used cold packs (pepsi can) or ice packs at times. I didn't get much relief from that. that was mostly in my pecs, acromoclavicular & neck areas. My arms can't tolerate cold.

I did get a lot of release/relief with PT deep tissue massage and trigger point... It did have a positive effect, seemingl lasting. Took a loooooooooonnnnnnnnnng time to get where I'm at. I didn't think it would take so long.

BTW, my new found naturopathic lady, she's leaving KY and going to FL, doing equine massage there also. She's great. I think she travels back and forth. Will check out further on next visit.

I can only relay in retrospect of my experiences in trying things to get relief. If we let each other know what has helped/not helped we may get more relief.

I encourage you to search and try things for yourself.

Never give up.

I think it's a positive.
