Default hi Tracey

Hiya,
sorry just saw post and have moved so been hella busy!!!!

welcome to botox world...I'm going tomorrow....EASE OFF on the PT!!!! it will make it worse take the decompression the botox gives you and live a normal life as you can with it. I find I can do a hell of a lot more when I have it done....so you obviously made the right decison. I have been going a year now with no regrets aside from wanting to go back for more sooner....it only lasts 2 to 2.5 mths with me. I hate it. My GF here in Calgary who recommended it for me suggests that she gets 5 months now and it takes a while but the botox will last longer eventually!

take it easy on yourself.....don't go gungho pt when you should be having a night out dancing....conservativly with pals!!!! have a glass of wine....or whatever you drink and have fun!!!! I find it just loosens all the tightness up and allows me to be more of ME!!!!!

take care....
love and hugs,
Victoria
ps anymore questions let me know!
ttfn!!!
V

Hi Tied,
I am sure if you go to the right neuro you will get the spots you want done no problem....I get my migraine ones and my tos ones so I'm sure where you HURT you can get it if you need it!!!! I have had it in my jaw as it relates to my migraines.....tight maseter muscles. I always get my jaw done with my migraine for some reason it is always a trigger point...anywhere my doc injects is usually a place I jump when he pushes on it.....TP!!! as well as the migriane ones that he has to do.....as for insurance I am covered by my workers comp with the right paperwork and I am sure my health plan would cover it provided my doctor filled in the right paperwork....but then I am in Canada so can't speak for USA!
best of luck!!

love and hugs,
Victoria

Yea, botox X3. It was worth it. Doc would inject my scalenes. I would get relief up to the mandible joints - no popping for about three weeks. it was amazing stuff...

Confused Botox and RSD

Do Botox injections cause RSD flare-ups? I currently have moderate RSD in addition to the TOS, and was going to approach my pain Dr, about Botox. Right now I do not have addequate pain relief. I use 75mcg Fentanyl patches, and 4mg Hydromorphone tablets for breakthrough pain. He has also given me Cymbalta to help with both my depression, and my nerve pain.
I still average about a 6 on the pain scale every day. I hope to be able to bring it down to a 3 or 4. I hope I am being realistic.
Is there anyone in B.C. who has Botox done? Does BC Health Care cover any of it?
Thanks Tracy
