The only one I tried that had heat and a GREAT Massage, I actually sat in the chair at Boscovs and cried it felt so good, was the best chair coushin massager at $199 on sale. Not the $149 it was only the $199.

I sat there for almost a half an hour with my eyes closed and tears running down., DH was waiting for someone to call for medical assist, lol.
THe cashier new what I was doing.

It kneaded from the lumbar up to the traps and shoulders with 8 massagers.
And the heat.
I bought a less expensive $39 one at Walgreens and put a blanket over it to pad. It works OK, I really like it for the price, but not the BEST.

[QUOTE=Jo*mar;541041]They don't have massage action, but the Infrared heating pads are said to penetrate deeper into the tissue. I believe it from my experience with both kinds.
I can feel a more lasting effect when I use my infrared heat pad vs the regular type pad.
Plus the infrared helps rid the toxins from the body at the cellular level.

The infrared seems hard to come by...my PT said the moist heat pads were good...so I guess I'll get that and if anyone knows a place to purchase the infrareds in the Kentuckiana area..let me know...

Also where is a good place to buy biofreeze w/o paying a fortune.I saw a 32oz pump bottle on Amazon for about 40 bucks..is that reasonable??
Thanks all!!!

I got the biggest size I could find since my whole upper back and shoulders needed it - and now I use if for my sacroiliac /low back too.
