My PT wanted me to get two tennis balls to use as massage for my scapula area,and upper back.
She said to tape them together...what is the best tape for this?Also won't that make them harder to move/roll?? |

i would think paper tape would be good, cause it's breathable.

I just used one - either against a wall or down on the floor.
works great for finding those trigger points too. I also use a foam roller, or a rolled up towel ( a cylinder shape), inflatable exercise ball. and any other ball sizes that might work for massaging/rolling on etc

I noticed a still point inducer - firm http://www.amazon.com/Bodyback-com-S...t-Inducer-Firm. That may be the effect your therapist is trying to achieve for your trigger points and things. LOL - I'm on the west coast - it was 11:47 pm
I did buy a Pressure Pointer - I really like the website chart they have for locating trigger points. Now it sits in my closet because tennis balls, pet balls or golf balls are actually simpler to use. or just about anything that will fit where the pesky trigger points are. http://www.pressurepointer.com/pain_reference_chart.htm

They don't have massage action, but the Infrared heating pads are said to penetrate deeper into the tissue. I believe it from my experience with both kinds.
I can feel a more lasting effect when I use my infrared heat pad vs the regular type pad. Plus the infrared helps rid the toxins from the body at the cellular level. I found a thread we had from 08 - http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...ht=heating+pad
