Default Dilemma

Somehow, over the weekend, during all the hustle and bustle, I lost 2 of my Rx's - approx. 1/2 of my Keppra for the month, and the remaining 2-3 weeks of my Loritab prescription . I called my PM doc, and all they could tell me was that he was out of the office thru Jan 8, and his partner wouldn't authorize early refills on painkillers. I have a refill on the Keppra, and my insurance MIGHT pay for it in 1 wk or so. If they don't it'll cost me ~$165 to get 2 wks worth. Any ideas what to do? I kinda understand why they won't refill, because some people out there would abuse the system, and they want to stay out of trouble with different agencies, etc. still - I've checked everywhere i've been, and nobody has seen a thing. I have a sinking feeling that the next 2.5 weeks could be miserable
