I've heard of B12 deficiency testing for Tourettes, but I think I might have also come across something in regard to Magnesium, and also Magnesium intercellular testing... has anybody heard of this, or could I be confusing this with something else I've read?

hi Pearl Doves and welcome
![]() magnesium is considered to be the singularly most important supplement in helping with TS tics here is a link to Bonnie Grimaldi's website with more details on her groundbreaking research http://www.bonniegr.com/news.htm although vitB12 is a really valuable supplement, some people with TS have found that it makes them tic more and so it should be used cautiously at first until it is certain that there is no reaction to it ps Natural Calm is a pure magnesium supplement that is getting rave reviews over at Latitudes and amongst many people with TS

Hi PearlDoves,
I have TS & I do methyl b-12 shots every 3 days. I give them to myself. Obviously my shots must be different than yours since you do monthly shots. I use Dr. Neubrander's protocol and you can find more info about methyl b-12 shots on his website: http://www.drneubrander.com/page2.html He is a doctor that works mostly with children that have Autism & his big treatment for them is methyl b-12 shots. I do not have Autism, but find treatments to be similar. I have not found that the methyl-b12 shots increase my tics. I think you'll know if they increase yours after a few shots. The shots do increase my appetite. Carolyn |

hi carolyn + @ all !!!
i reduced my tics with a vegan diet more than 50%. since a couple of years my b12-level is too low. my doctor says, maybe it is because of this special diet. i get monthly b12-shots and feel less anxious and less sensitive to noise. i didn't realize that b12-shots increase my tics. bye hermy |
