Hey guys,
I found this article earlier today and I thought it would be pertinent. Although it directly pertains to the effects of testosterone on the eeg's of children, it could demonstrate the effects of low testosterone on the eeg of adults. And, since 30-40% of adult brain injuries result in hormone deficencies, this is something definitely worth checking into with your doctor. For those of you who find it difficult to read, I'll sum it up here. Basically, it stated that an increase in testosterone in pubescent children correlated with a decrease in delta waves and an increase in alpha waves. In head injuries, delta waves become the most prominent and often alpha waves disappear. So, there could be a correlation there. http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/con...4399558&db=all |
