Jeffrey,

In my world, those 'mishaps' are not struggles. They are my life.

Life is what is happening while you are focused on complaining about little things. Instead of focusing on the little things that annoy you, try to see the many successes, achievements, and pleasures you experience each day.

There are many people whose big achievement is waking up for another day. We have far more to be thankful about.

My struggles are much bigger. I routinely experience a struggle trying to find things. Not lost things, mind you. I can look for something and not see it when it is right in front of me. It is like my brain has a blind spot. Sometimes, I will leave the area. Do something else for a bit, then return to look and finally see the item right where I was looking for it.

Does anybody have an explanation for this?

My best guess is the index in my mind for the item gets disconnected momentarily so my mind does not know how to recognize the item I am looking for.

My best to you.
