Default Hi

Hello all, my name is Tom. I fell in the bathroom on feb 1st and knocked myself out, split my head open and had to go to the hospital for staples. The next few days are kind of a blur but I dont remember really bad symptoms. About a week later I had severe numbness of my legs and a fever and went to the hospital for a CTscan and blood cultures. No infection and nothing showed up on the CT scan and I was diagnosed with PCS.

Yesterday I had some of the same symptoms that sent me to the hospital but they werent as severe (they were like a panic attack, heavy heart beats, confusion, paranioa) and only lasted 8 or so hours, tho some are still lingering now. I went to a neurologist and they said I should be fine, but they were worried about the fever and I needed an EEG (still trying to make that appointment). I have a follow up in a week.

The symptoms arent terrible most of the time, just annoying. The headache isnt an "ache" persay, just the sensation of heavy pressure on the inside of my forehead and a really stiff neck (probably whiplash?). I dont really have too much of a problem with light, I can read just fine, nothing seems as severe as everyone else is explaining they have. Im just really out of it and once a week since the injury I have had these horrible panic attack symptom dealies.

However when I lay down to sleep, if I lay where its putting pressure on the sides of my head, I get sweats and my body gets hot, if I sit up for a little while I get better.

I also got really sick last week, though most of my friends are sick with sinus related stuff, but it seems to be taking longer for me to kick it.

And I didnt have any nasuea until this weekend, week 3. Is that bad?

None of the doctors or the neurologist seemed terribly worried about me, so im assuming im fine, especially since some people here cant read, or get out of bed etc. The neurologist also said it was good I got the CT scan a week later after the injury because then they could catch anything, even a slow bleed.

Guess im just looking for reassurance and support.
