I am very sorry to hear that your return to work attempt did not go well. It sounds like you need some more time for rest. A month is really early to return if you're been having the issues you've described. Taking those two months on disability to rest and focus on recovery is just what you need to do.

Have you tried cognitive rehabilitation therapy? I have worked with several nurses (all type A personalities I might add...) who had a difficult time returning to work. Fatigue was one of their greatest barriers to success. Two of them really felt a difference when trying a stimulant such as Ritalin or Concerta. Might be work discussing with your physiatrist...

thanks for your kind words and comments. i am seeing a neurologist tomorrow who specializes in concussions and headaches, so hopefully get some more answers. i agree, i went back too soon....it was "gonna lost my health insurance" type of scenario, but now i am on cobra and going to suck it up and stay out of work for a few months to get through the fatigue and build a stamina slowly. Also hard messing up your sleep-wake cycle with night shift, so that was a double whammy of making my attempt an immediate failure. I was started on celexa to see if that helps.

My acupuncturist recommended I take supplements in addition to the Omegas that Mark recommended which I also highly recommend!

They are called Phosphatidylserine PS and CDP Choline. You might want to ask one of your health care professionals if they could help you too.

Much luck!!
