hey Galaxy, ** I still have soreness and pain on head after all this time but I have had a bunch of head injuries. the pulsatile tinnitus is more annoying than the pain.

Yes, my head is sensitive where I fell on it. I don't like anyone to touch it and I no longer tie my hair up either.
I also don't like to have my hair cut, I used to have it done every 8 weeks like clock work, now I wait as long as possible (right now its been over 4 months) ... I always make sure I wash it before I go to get it cut so they don't have to do that part. I know some people enjoy the head scrubbing / massage stuff, but I want no part of that, thankyouverymuch! I hate when I go to the doctor and they always want to poke at the spot I hit... they never start lightly and work up from there, they always start hard and then when I flinch and say OW THEN they back off! ![]() ![]() I like to wear a loose fitting hat for a light layer of protection when I'm out doing stuff, plus I get the added bonus of the brim to shield from the light. But tight fitting hats... NO WAY!! ![]() Starr |

Is it the blood vessels pain or skull pain?

It is often the nerves in the skin and soft tissue. They get pinched against the skull during the impact. They can take a long time to heal.

I had problems from my head injury years ago. It left a lump and I was always aware that it hurt when I brushed my hair or touched my scalp. Eventually that feeling faded.
I had another fall and head injury 4 weeks ago and it's sore from the cut and where it was stitched still but the most noticeable thing is that it's almost as if the hair follicles have suddenly been sent off in the wrong direction. So apart from my skull actually still hurting and I still have another lump, anything touching it hurts. Mostly when the wind blows my hair it hurts. I think in my case it's a combination of the lump still going down and also the cuts still healing and the fact that there's something weird going on with the hair follicles. It's not really really bad pain as such, it's a more of a sensation. Hard to explain. |

My collision area doesn't like being touched and haircuts can be funny...fortunately my daughter cuts my hair and understands.
My head really likes being lightly rubbed and my hot water bottle for bed time. Bud |
