hey all! i'm 6 1/2 weeks post-concussion and have been reading these forums the whole time for support. i'm finally starting to get my bearings back. here's a brief synopsis of the "incident":
i took a fast downhill skateboarding fall and the impact was hard to my chin. i don't believe i lost conciousness (if i did it was only a few seconds) and then i got up and felt very dizzy, heavy-headed, sensitive to light. no memory loss. my ears were roaring very badly the first few days. in the following weeks some of my symptoms, such as dizziness and light sensitivity, went away completely. others, like tiredness, forgetfulness, or inability to find vocabulary persisted but have recently diminished. i'm pretty sure in the coming weeks my cognitive functions will come back to 100%. what didn't go away is the roaring in my ears. did/does anyone else experience this? will it go away? |

Took me about 2 months to get rid of the ringing in my ears. I cant really say it was "ringing", sometimes sirens, sometimes sounded like popcorn popping, and other times whooshing sounds. But 4 months in and its gone. Hope yours gets better soon.
