I've been going quite regularly since I was in an accident and hit my forehead December 2010. I can't swear that it has helped me, but I certainly don't think it has harmed me in any way. I usually feel more relaxed and stay that way longer, which has to contribute to my over all well-being.
My chiro had posted this article on her page one day and I found it a quick, interesting read - I doubt this study took MTBI patients into consideration but if an adjustment makes me feel better AND improves my brain waves then I'm all over it. http://www.yourspine.com/Chiropracti...0Function.aspx |

Acupuncture of all things helped me the most, but I haven't heard much research or validation from chiropractic medicine and TBI

my acupuncturist is an hour away (the only one I really believe in and trust) and i can't drive that far. He referred me to someone else (who I didn't particularly love but was ok) and now with the hurricane, so many roads are closed that I can't even get to either one!!
I might try massage again....the woman I go to offers a half hour for $45 and she gave me some coupons. |

Massage Envy has many locations around U.S. Not sure you have any one closer. With membership you get 1 hour massage for $50 and one free massage every month. They have many therapists with different skill sets (Trigger Point, Myofascial pain release etc.,).

Meh. I am agnostic about my chiropractor and my acupuncture and my nutritional supplements. But like I said in another post, at this point, I don't care if it's actually helping or just giving me placebo effect. I will try just about anything if there's any chance of it making me feel better and it probably isn't going to hurt me.

i sustained a hard vertical impact to my jaw. afterwards, my eyes were not properly aligned. my first chiropractic adjustment noticeably improved the alignment of my eyes. i also believe it's greatly reduced my tinnitus and other post-concussion symptoms. i think that this may be because a lot of my injury was to my spinal cord and neck rather than my brain.
