I personally know quite a few people who had mild to severe TBIs. With severe TBIs 2 of them died, one has major disabilities like short term memory loss, cannot use one side of body efficiently and some remarkably recovered. My aunt with Concussion happened after me back to normal in 6 months.
I still talk to them and they don't have any of the complaints we talk about. They all surprised with my persistent symptoms. I personally don't know anyone (except in the forums) with chronic symptoms like I have with mild TBI. I stopped comparing since that is making me depressed and anxious which sure doesn't help. I blame it on my bad luck. But I am still trying different things to help my recovery. |

i definately would have to agree that life just isnt fair and we live in a broken world. both very true
i kinda disagree with what mark in idaho said about some people just hiding their symptoms because alot of my friends have had concussions like mine and are shocked that im still having problems. i know people that have no other problems except for the headache the day of the concussion. im still wondering if there is anything actually wrong in brains that develop pcs like is something chemically wrong that causes this or is it just bad luck because my doctor told me 99 out of 100 people he deals with heal completely within 3 months |
