Default what a long strange trip it has been.

I can say for sure that I just had about a week of complete insanity. I know that I think for a few days a week or 2 ago I felt better than I have felt in over a year since the accident. I was so hoping that it was over. Then I tried to spend some time with my family and actually do some normal things and felt my self going backword. Then I just started trying to find a way to go away again and find some where that there were no people just to deal with this on my own. I was emailing every craigs list ride share post trying to get any one to take me any where else but I could not even handle talking to them on the phone or meeteing them to go. For some reason today I just do not feel insane and know that especialy like that there is now way I could survive on my own with no money or car or place to live.
Is there any one else that is like this. That can not most of the time handel being around any other people at all and feel like they go in and out of sanity.

Hello,

Yes, I have experienced what you have. I couldn't be around people for a long time but it has gotten much better! SOOOOOO much better and it will for you too

Because PCS is so hard just remember to be nice to yourself. I would get discouraged and have breakdowns frequently but would try not to feel bad about them. Sometimes I would need just one thing that I hoped for in life to look forward to.

I try to picture myself going up stairs with a yoyo.

Even though I am having a horrible few weeks I am still on the same "step" just my yoyo is going down.

It sounds silly but it helps. Best wishes!

I couldn't be around people for a while either. I'm now a the year mark and that's much better. I couldn't be on the computer 5 mins without symptoms or watch tv and i'm gradually increasing.

yesterday i went to 2 of my sons baseball games...that's progress.

today i went to one and i was exhausted but I did nothing all day and now i'm going to another game.

good luck...stay sane...or try to anyway.

what are your symptoms when you're around people?

I cannot be around people. Restaurants, malls etc., completely stopped visiting. If any one visits me I can handle only couple hours before I start weird feeling in my eyes, face, head and start getting dizzy, fatigued and spaced out.

Eyes and ears sending wrong signal to brain or my TBI causing this. I think I have Sensory Processing Disorder.
