My brain likes music that has a flow. For me, this music is too random. When my brain has an idea of what to expect and a tempo to follow, it can relax.

If others can relax to Brian Eno, good for you. Just not my cup of tea.

Yeah, fair enough. Different types of music work for different people, and there's definitely no "one size fits all" here.

I would be interested to hear some of the songs/pieces others find very calming, if people are willing to post them here (if they're on youtube).

This is a fav. game.

The title sums up the song quite well:

I like this one a lot. It takes about a minute to build up to the main theme.

This is great! It is very similar music to what i will listen to during acupuncture, during Healing Touch or when i am meditating in a nice hot bath or yoga class. Thank you for this!!!!

MRI and CT negative. Symptoms included constant headaches (migraine, pressure, tension, icepicks), dizziness, tinnitus, visual changes, photophobia, fatigue, "spacing out", word finding difficulties, depression, and emotional lability.
Began Healing in November 2011 after starting acupuncture and Healing Touch (a nurturing energy therapy that promotes relaxation and pain relief). I went back to work in February 2012. Ive been symptom free since July 2012. Very happy, positive, energetic and working out every day, doing yoga, and living a normal life again!
I also began taking Healing Touch classes in November 2011 and completed 5 Levels of Healing Touch Certificate Program that included a 1 year mentorship to become a Healing Touch International Practitioner in June 2013. I am so pleased to offer this wonderful healing therapy to my patients, friends, and clients.

Relaxing Music with Binaural Beats (VERY Peaceful & Relaxing)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDD-E1idVM0

This is very good background music while you surf the internet, lay in bed or whatever it may be.

Your going to need headphones, it's a very soft melody.

What happened: I was randomly assaulted from behind in June of 2011. I was knocked unconscious for an unknown amount of time (less than 30 minutes) and have no memory of the event. CT scan showed contusion and hematoma of the left frontal lobe. I spent 3 days in the hospital. Diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome in September 2011. Currently have Medicaid, Medicare and SSI.

Current symptoms: Brain fog, mild memory issues, problems with spontaneity, occasional spacing out, word finding difficulties, tinnitus in right ear and some other things that I can't explain.

Life after the brain injury: 4 years after the injury, I'm engaged to my beautiful girlfriend of 5 years, I'm the CEO of my own business, Notorious Labs, I've taught myself how to program complex games and apps which is a feat I never thought I'd accomplish and now live a semi-normal life with very mild PCS symptoms.

Slowly but surely regaining my life back.

I have a HUGE personal collection of music at home.

I have found that I am unable to listen to most of it still, much of the time...

I own some Brian Eno stuff and dig on it a lot.

But I completely understand Mark's opinion too. I felt the same way just the other day at a restaurant that had some Jazz playing over the loudspeaker - it was stuff I really would've liked before the accident and I can't even listen to it nowadays, I had to leave the restaurant ASAP.

Luckily, I'm still making a lot of improvement through all of this, so I'm hoping I'll be able to listen to any kind of music that I want to again without trouble or having to suffer.

Some of the more relaxing stuff I own that I recommend people check out:

Buddha Bar cds

And I just found this gem looking for the others ^:

I think if you want to find some relaxing music, just doing a search for "meditation", "new age", "Reiki", "massage", or even "relaxation" on you tube is going to yield some pretty great stuff!
