The post about the weird dreams got me thinking of a weird side effect that I've experieced lately and wondered if anyone else experienced it as well.
I can handle the weird dreams I have while I'm asleep now since I'm almost a year into it now but it's the weird thoughts I have while I'm awake that bother me the most. I will be sitting and find myself thinking of something very disturbing. Once I realize what I'm doing I try to those thoughts I can't figure it out. It happens every day. These thoughts are very strange, vivid and disturbing. I can never figure out why or how these thoughts got into my head. I haven't been able to figure out if there is a pattern (like what I'm doing when these thoughts appear) but just know that it has happened enough that it bothers me. Anyone else? |

Yeah, I've posted about this before too. I get weird thoughts that don't make sense...especially when I'm laying down for a nap or for the night. It happens mostly during the process of going to sleep. They haven't been as vicious since I had my Mirtazapine dosage upped.
I also suffer from intrusive thoughts...but those have also gotten better since the med dosage was increased. If they become too disturbing you might want to look into getting yourself on an anti-depressant, if your not on one already. It has a lot to do with anxiety. Good luck.

What happened: I was randomly assaulted from behind in June of 2011. I was knocked unconscious for an unknown amount of time (less than 30 minutes) and have no memory of the event. CT scan showed contusion and hematoma of the left frontal lobe. I spent 3 days in the hospital. Diagnosed with Post-Concussion Syndrome in September 2011. Currently have Medicaid, Medicare and SSI. Current symptoms: Brain fog, mild memory issues, problems with spontaneity, occasional spacing out, word finding difficulties, tinnitus in right ear and some other things that I can't explain. Life after the brain injury: 4 years after the injury, I'm engaged to my beautiful girlfriend of 5 years, I'm the CEO of my own business, Notorious Labs, I've taught myself how to program complex games and apps which is a feat I never thought I'd accomplish and now live a semi-normal life with very mild PCS symptoms. Slowly but surely regaining my life back. |

Yes I have. I find sometimes im in a day dream. Im awake but lost to whats around me. Sometimes disturbing but not always. If im tired or stressed it can get worse. Also like nick says when your falling asleep. I try to shake it off and continue. I also have dreams and in my dreams I'm telling myself to wake up. I then dream that I woke up and it wasnt a dream. Scares the heck out of me. Lol then I do wake up im relieved it was just a dream. Not a good way to start the day.

That's funny you posted this now...I just tried to take a nap and I spent 2 hours laying in bed daydreaming some weird things. Never actually fell asleep.
